Conversation

When you suddenly discover that you're having the same conversation with a person over and over again, is it time to call it quits?

Hell no dear sayesha!

It means you need something more interesting to talk about. And from reading your blog, I don't think thats a problem for ya.

It just means that there is a glitch in the Matrix. Don't fret, there ain't anything you can do about it.

Different ppl...different viewpoints. Accept and move on. We shouldnt try to impose our viewpoints.

...sorry not my place to speak, maybe you know sayesha, or u r the person she is talking about, but she never said anything nor hinted anything about imposing viewpoints. All she said was she's having the same conversation over and over again.

..this is strange - somehow I'm feeling defensive for sayesha!!!

Ahh.... To hell with the girl

Crazy Girl : I love you

Ahhh.... To hell with the girl

Hot Girl : hey what you doing
Me : reading the paper

Me : Trying to read the paper

Hot Girl : hey what you doing
Me : *Grin* having a peep through the pin hole ...

Thanks Sahil, for your undying faith in me, especially when I start losing it myself...

Anonymous, Sahil's right, this was never about viewpoints. This was about two friends and an almost fallout (did not happen, thank goodness).

Sometimes all you need is to take a break (even for a couple of hours), and things fall into place again.

I am so blessed to have people who care.

Err are you talking to anonymous 1 or anonymous 2 ....

Also, as long as we are on the break thing ....

Dosent History teach you anything ... I mean look at Ross and Rachel...

Damnit ... Sorry Ms Sayesha ...

Comment No 5, 7 and 8, by me ...

there that should have cleared the picture ...

Well, you can't possibly compare this to Ross' and Rachel's case. It was not a friendship they took a break from, it was this whole romantic thing... geez dun even get me started on them!

In any case, my take is -- if you're meant to be friends, you'll be friends, even after the break. In fact, I had like a 2-year break with someone who's one of my closest friends today. A break merely helps to clear the mind, and put things in perspective.

And finally, Anonymous, dun worry, I've got my anonymouses (is that even a word?) right. At least I think I have! :)

A 2 year break - thats quite something.

If friends take a break from each other deliberately (as oppossed to drifting off), then I believe history will simply repeat itself - its only a matter of time. What caused you to take a break in the first place, will creep up again in some other form.

I don't mean to jinx your friendships if they've happened this way at all. Hope they last a lastime actually. But this is just MHO.

Having the same conversation time and again may hint that there is something stuck in either friend's life which the person himself/herself or the friend is trying to understand. It may be a sudden change in behaviour or something that either or both feel is not quite right.

Same conversations also happen when there is a feeling of incompleteness from the orevious time you spoke, like there is yet something outstanding that has to be cleared before life can move on. Repetition is like an exhaustive stress to try and solve this missing bit.

Breaks like everything in life are transitionary, a change. People move apart and get back together..like sayesha said, "if its meant to be it will". And at times when you get back you are better friends than ever. The understanding is deeper and the bond stronger...

Friends are the windows to a person's personality. Your friends define you.

Naari, I like the way you put it...
