Ouch!

On Saturday I banged into a glass door. In my own house. Thud. Ouch.

After the stars floating around my head dropped down, and I passed the 'Main kaun hoon? Main kahan hoon?' test, I made a list.

Lessons of life I learnt from the incident:

1. You don't know your own place as well as you think you do.

2. Sometimes you can see what's beyond, but you can't see what's right in front of you.

3. Never laugh at someone over something that can very well happen to you.

And here's the most important one...

4. Sometimes things are so clear you don't see anything.

OMG, this happened to me other day in front of like 20 people. I didn't fall on the floor, just hurt my nose and forehead. I loved the last sentence.

I can imagine, Sayesha raises one hand painfully (the other hand is on the throbbing bump that used to be her head) and says, "Hi, excuse me, can I have birdies around my head intead? They sound much better, you see!" :D

Well said Sayesha.
(btw, I love calling out your entire name, because it is really a beautiful name :-) What does it mean? Or should we keep this topic for a separate blog? :-)

#Harshi,

Sayesha means 'princess of hearts'/'attained by great desire'.

It is a beautiful name, isn't it? I just wish it really was mine. Sigh... But at least on this blog, it is! :)

ps: And no, I did not pick the nick 'cos of what it means. Found out the meaning only last year, but the nick has been with me for about 7 years now.

pps: Maybe it does deserve a blog post! :P

#Spammy,
Were you one of the juniors I ragged in uni? The feeling that I know you in person is getting stronger and stronger! :O

ps: And yes, those doors at the malls are dangerous, man. A friend was telling me about a door at this mall into which many people literally crashed, trying to escape the rain, sending splinters flying! Oh my goodness! :O

#TC,
Thanks man. I'm all right now. It was more 'utter shock' than anything else. :)

L said...

Wow .. U always come out with "eye openers" Stuff...!!!

Wow....that's a beautiful meaning.
Love the name. Has a soft, dreamy, poetic touch to it. Perhaps it was the name of a Princess, who knows :-) Princess Sayesha. Sounds perfect :-)!

3. Never laugh at someone over something that can very well happen to you.

Even though you didn't describe how you banged into the glass door - I've already pictured it in my mind. And I had to laugh first before I was concerned about the second head growing out of your forehead. Hope the swelling has gone down. And if this ever happens to me, i'll know whose bad-duah i got.

Did I ever tell u I love your insightful thoughts. Like how you came up with points 2 and 4 with such an incident happening to you is quite brilliant.

ps Why am I complimenting you? Have I banged into a glass wall or you? Or perhaps I'm making up for no longer even being CLOSE to be the first to comment on your blog.

...or maybe I just appreciate intelligence when I see it...

#Prakash,
Hey Prakash, hiii! Hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly!

//BTW i did blogrolled you...sometime back...so hope u dont mind

#Dumb die hen punjabi,

#Nutty,

#Rinku,
Hey, I was wondering where you were! Thanks! :)

#Sahil,
May I just say - PHEW! What a relief that you're still around. Humne toh socha tha aap Sayesha's world se hamesha ke liye chale gaye.

I know some people at Sayeshaz like to sip their drinks in silence in the background, lekin aap toh hamaare blog ke puraane diljale ho, kabhi kabhi aawaaz de diya karo, pata toh chale aap ho yahan.

//And I had to laugh first before I was concerned about the second head growing out of your forehead.

Thanks a lot man. Now you're talkin' like Sahil.

//Why am I complimenting you?

Exactly. Why?

//Have I banged into a glass wall or you?

I am not a glass wall. I am a paththar dil stone wall. Hahahaha! :D

(Oh God, Virdi, tuney mere orange juice mein kya mila diya??)

//...or maybe I just appreciate intelligence when I see it...

Aaj duniya hil gayi, Sahil ke muh se itni sari tareef?? Uffff!!!

#Priya,
Thanks, girl :)

#Humjoli,
I'm disappointed that Sayesha is not my real name. But here on the blog, it is. So I'm happy :)

#Spammy,
If you were my junior in uni, you'd have known my name. So there.
ps: But why do I still feel like I know you?! Damn!

#Dear people,
I love the name Sayesha. I am SO Sayesha. My blog is the only way I can be Sayesha. Please let me be Sayesha. Don't break my heart by reminding me or mourning the fact that my name is not Sayesha.

Can you guys imagine me as anyone but Sayesha?? I can't.
