I dress Xena in blue as much as pink (and whatever other colours I can find in her size.). We were at the ICA today and she was in a blue top, with a white and blue swaddle. A lady, who had been looking at her for a while, turned to me and said, "Oh, what a handsome boy! "
"Thank you," I said. "It's a girl though."
"Oh!" She said, "What a pretty girl!"

hehehe .... go pink power !!
So Xena is in the pink, I hope!
Angad is crazy about Dora the Explorer, but all Dora gear is for girls and comes in pink or purple. Every time he wears pink he gets lots of compliments... makes a really convincing girl, my son does! :)
Anyway, here's to the anti-color-coding-kids movement! Hurrah for handsome Xena and pretty Angad! :)
Gold!
Bhaai! Agar Xena bol paati to tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karti bhai, kabhi nahi. :)
On the doosra haath, 'bhai kehta hai bada kaam karegi, Xena hamari bada naam karegi' wala gana was apt here. :P
I too am really anti color coding. Blue and pink are both such nice colors with so many pretty shades of each. why does a child has to be dressed in one of these?...I have also dressed my daughter n all colors of rainbow.
In fact, her birthday party theme was star, so I made her a blue dress for her birthday party, and most of the decoration was blue as well.
Sort of my ( mostly unintentional) way of showing thenga to the gender based color coding.
Waiting for more photos of Xena ..please .. dressed in blue this time..:)
Had I been you, I would have dressed my gurl in all colors!! So what is it was blue!! Pretty girl!! :)
*So what if it was blue.
A true chameleon that lady must be ;-)
well .. as I learnt recently,
apparently until the 1920s, baby boys were usually dressed in pink and girls in blue!
In the spirit of Mombhai's new nursery rhymes for a new generation:
Whether I wear blue or pink,
Pay up! Don't think;
'cos in pink and in blue,
Hafta remains due.
the.orchestra.of.life,
:D
Arun,
Yeah, more or less. :) We've been going back to the hospital every week for follow-ups though.
Nandini,
Oooh Aishu used to love Dora too! Actually she kinda looks like Dora! :)
Geomon,
Hehehe... :P
Blooms And Bugs,
Blue-themed party sounds good! :)
Ashwini,
Hehehe... will post soon. :)
Yamini,
Yeah, all colours is the plan. Only problem is that there aren't a lot of baby clothes out there that fit her. :)
Divya,
:D
mythalez,
Oooh I have also read that somewhere! What happened after the 20s I wonder. :P
Arun,
You are so obsessed with tweaking rhymes. Even more than me. Admit it. Admit it!! :D
Bhai, I admit to nothing except owing you some significant number of pani puri treats, should you ever choose to collect them :)
