I want...

I want to finish reading this chapter.
I want to be done with the exams.
I want to submit my dissertation to the university.
I want to graduate.
I want to hold my post-grad degree scroll.
I want to be a Master of Mass Communication.
I want to be done with studying for life.
I want to stop being so hard on myself.
I want to do away with discipline for a while.
I want to stop running.
I want to stop running out of inspiration.
I want to stop feeling tired, so tired.
I want to stop telling myself I'm not tired.
I want to run on food, water and rest, not adrenalin.
I want to wake up at noon on a saturday and not feel guilty.
I want to exercise.
I want to swim.
I want to ice-skate.
I want to sleep.
I want to go dancing.
I want to cook fancy dishes for my friends.
I want to walk home from office.
I want to go to the beach and blow soap bubbles.
I want to roller-blade and cycle at the beach.
I want to organise my photo-albums.
I want to spend a weekend doing nothing at all.
I want to have time to buy more clothes and shoes.
I want to rent movies and watch them sprawled on the mattress on the floor in my living room.
I want to go to Jade theatre and watch all the crappy Hindi movies.
I want to go to Chinatown and look at the random interesting things.
I want to subscribe to Hindi TV channels and watch meaningless soaps.
I want to spend time with my parents and my sis and baby Aish.
I want to see my three crazy cousins who live in the UK.
I want to catch up with my school friends.
I want to resume my Chinese lessons.
I want to learn Tamil and Malay too.
I want to email Dad regularly.
I want to invite people over and hold parties.
I want to volunteer.
I want to learn music.
I want to catch up with my blog buddies' blogs.
I want to update my blogroll.
I want to while away my time.
I want to write a few more books for kids.
I want to stop working for a while.
I want to go on a holiday.
I want to be able to take a day off when I am not feeling well.
I want to take leave.
I want more people in my team.
I want to clear my cubicle of random stuff accumulated over the last four years.
I want to stop travelling all the way to university after work.
I want to go home after work.
I want to go home. Home home. India home.
I want to take a break.

No actually, I want to quit.

So I can fall in love with my job all over again.

Hum...
Methinks that you want to do a lot of things. Hah... But I would suggest you to do a few things per week like take leave for the weekend, wake late. You know, some things that can go together and not be irrelevant. I have a good holiday for two days and I got out of bed at 12:30 in the morning.(I woke at ine but read Harry Potter in bed):D

a guy who sweeps me off the streets of Singapore with his signature style and charm..."

sounds a better way to end the post!

You SHOULD spend a weekend doing absolutely nothing. Its total bliss!!! especially if you have been very busy for quite sometime.

awesome list..well I think you can add one more..I want Indian cricket team to win for a change.(coz one cannot watch anyother channel during the match and then you have sit thru the match with a disgusted look coz of their pathetic performance-This sentiment is a result of yesterdays match Ind Vs SA that I had to watch).

Waise try taking a chutti for a few days rather than quitting...it works believe me. Even I was becoming pretty irritable so planned an escapade to shirdi. It was rejuvenating and now I am back to work n ready to slog.

Never imagined reading the sentence, I want to quit.

Quit what?

Anyways ....
whats the top priority in that list?

Kindly pick one only.

few lines from my fave poem:

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't quit.

Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near and it seems so far,
So,stick to the flight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that
You must not quit,

Hope your wants come true. When is the big question. It's hard to sacrifice so much but it's supposed to pay off in the end (so they tell us).

Some days, I wonder what would happen if I just walked away from my life with all it's stresses. Tempting, but not practical.

Hope you get a break at least. Hang in there!

And I want to have Sayesha have alll these wants :-).

Sash, I realized my list of wants might have things like not always taking a leave when not feeling that well, and trying to be more disciplined and wanting to stop doing nothing....lol. Please take it slow Sash. Yes, be easy on yourself.
