String quartet

I'd seen this video sometime last year, but this morning Viv was playing it on youtube and I remembered how this had blown me away the first time I'd seen it. Thought I'd play it at the bar on this lazy sunday afternoon.

Youtube video courtesy of rpoland.

If you have the time, do experience it twice, the first time without watching the video. Unbelievable what someone can create using a single instrument...

Yeah !! I saw this a couple of months ago when a friend at Bangalore showed it to me. The guy is just amazingly talented, isn't he?

Btw, have you seen/heard Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt play? He too is awesome!!

Heh, I remember the day we watched this - somebody had it on their Facebook page, no? Anyway, it's a fantastic video. The guy is so talented!

And speaking of string quartets, have you heard the Madras String Quartet? We went to see them at Esplanade, and they were brilliant. Indian Carnatic music, western style. How innovative can you get, huh? :)

Love this one...

I was just checking out a couple of his other pieces... Didn't like them, but I found something interesting... Check out this one. In the first 30 seconds, he plays the guitar with 1 hand!
