So this month's poll is on Bollywood actors who have sung their songs themselves. Okay, at least one song. I wanted to provide a few examples, but didn't want to influence the results. Besides, any Bollywood bewda/bewdi worth his/her salt should know his/her facts. :P
Who do you think did the best job and which song was it?
PS: And oh, this is only for actors who have more movies they have acted in than songs they have sung, so this eliminates people like Kishore Kumar and Sonu Nigam and Farhan Akhtar. And oh, Himesh Reshammiya!
PPS: I just had an alarming realisation that not a lot of actresses are asked to sing their own songs. I wonder why... hmmmm... Anyway, forget the girls for now, let's stick to guys for this poll.

the best would have been abhishek bachhan's rap song from bluffmaster had farhan akhtar not sang in rock on.

I really liked Kareena kapoor's singing in Dev but since its only for guys, i guess it has to be one of Amitabh bacchan's.

I don't think my choice of the actor would be a surprise, although the song might be-
Amitabh Bacchan for 'Ain't nobody does it better' from Bhoothnath. Why this song? Cuz it ain't your usually tapori song which a Sanjay Dutt or an Amir Khan has already done before. This song is different, and better and I like the way Bacchan sings the line 'Ain't nobody..'.

I think when bollywood was at its infant stage most of the Actors were singer too,so thats why KL Saigal and Ashok Kumar.

I think Aamir rocked in Aati Kya Khandaala he managed the attitude ... Shahrukh in josh though gave a hot song.. but he sucked.. then amitabh was wonderful in mere angne mein and rang barse..... till sudesh bhosale started singing for him.. i wonder how would jumma chumma sound if AB actually would have sung it....

Amitabh Bachchan undoubtedly with his songs like Rang Barse, Neela Asman, Kabhi Kabhi. Amir can be a distant second with his fultoo masti number Aati kya Khandala and even AB's baby wasn't too bad in "Right here Right now".
Even one has to choose the worst in the lot it has to be Salman Khan's croaking in Hello Brother "Sone ki daal par", perhaps the only thing missing to make even worse(yes thats possible) was Rani Mukherji singing along with him...ugggghhhh...just imagining this gives me jitters.

one standout for me is Kareena Kapoor who sang a beautiful song in Dev. Incidentally movie had BigB!
Its taking me hard work to come up with the list. My memory on hindi films is rusting. Arrrgh.
But all I can think of is:

I couldn't think of many contenders for this category. Aamir for "Kya bolti tu" is obvious and would be my entry. Although Sridevi's childish voice in "Tu meri Chandni" does comes to mind.
