But I wanna make it rain!

When I was a little girl, I used to think that clouds are made of cotton wool soaked in water, and that if I could squeeze them, it would start raining.

So you can imagine my disappointment during my first ever flight when the air hostess told me to stop trying to open the airplane windows in mid-air.

how i wanna thank that air hostess....had it not been for here...such a beautiful blog would not have existed :-)

Sayesha said...

Well, I wouldn't thank her. She crushed my dreams of being the rain-maker! :D

Oh btw, welcome back, Anish!

Auntieji Auntieji, can you please open this window for me? I want to squeeze the clouds and make it rain, na?

hahaha - too funny Sayesha!

I do hope your first ever flight wasn't when you were on your way to Singapore. If it was, you take being naive to whole new heights. :P

Hahahaha! No Sahil, I was a little kid. I don't think Singapore would have have offered me the scholarship if at the age of 18, that was my concept of rainfall! :D

I used to think tt if u prayed to God, u will get a baby. Well tts wat they showed in the movies..u will have a couple who got married, then they will pray to God and Woahla! they had a baby...

Sahil said...

From the way you blog, i'd figured you got your scholarship based on your sense of humour. ;)

angelsera - haha, funny. I used to think that Amitabh Bachchan was invincible. No matter how many times he got beaten up, wounded, shot and even killed, he always came back in another movie.

...well taken into account how he's ressurected himself, maybe he is invincible.

Sayesha said...

Haha! That's so funny, Angelsera! :D

Sahil,
Your comment reminded me -- when I was 3 or 4, whenever I used to see a funeral pyre scene in a Hindi movie, you know the kind where they show a shot of logs being placed around the 'dead body' and the next shot shows huge flames and people in white standing behind it, crying? I used to think that they actually set the actor/actress on fire! I think I was quite traumatised till Dad explained it to me one day.

Amazing memories rushing back today, huh? :D

Haa...funny coincidence..I used to think the same when I was little..and also when one filled their car with petrol - I used to think it travelled all around the car - only then we could open doors..and get all the other parts moving. Oh gosh..how innocent and silly!

Sahil, I remember I had gone for one of his movies as a kid where he was shot. I thought tt they rushed him to the hospital and kinda brought him back fast enough for the next scene.I used to think tt was wat song-dance sequences in movies were for...for giving time for 'heroes' to have their injuries treated.

Sayesha, me too!!! I used to wonder how the actor managed to come back in the next movie since he was jus burnt in the previous one!!

angelsera>> yes yes the guy and the girl pray together in a room with their bodies very close to each other and then lightening and rain and then baby. You need to pray da. and someone might shout "oh god!! oh god!!". then baby.. shit i am a pervert!! i need a kick..

And they say I have the X-rated blog! It's people like you who make it so, man! :O

Virdi I see london and the bee is taking its effect on ya.

Sayesha ne laath mari tere ko. Tuh kar kya raha hain. Usne teri khudhari ko lalkara hain. Come on. Be a man.

..cldn't resist. That scene from DCH where Amir tells Saif off is a classic.

Sayesha said...

Haha! Sahil, Virdi, Yaad hai na kya hua tha after Saif tried to 'be a man' and went to confront Priya? :D

Hahahaha!

ps: Sahil, that's one my favourite scenes from the movie too! :)

Sahil said...

...and the best is after Saif leaves and Amir, after uksaofying Saif goes:

"Pitege salla!"

God, I need to watch that movie again.

Sayesha said...

Hahahaha! Yeah I love that scene!

Also the "Tujhe kya lagta hai, main roz is takiye pe baithta hoon?" Hahahahahahahaha! :D

Damn, now I need to watch it too! We should all get together for a bloggers' party and watch it together! Or at least watch it concurrently in our respective countries! :D

Sahil said...

U r freaky. I was gonna include that scene in my comment, but couldn't remember the exact line, so didn't. Didn't want to incur the wrath of some 'mistake finder' commentator.

and the most hilarious character? You know who i'm talking about:

"Shayad uske bathroom jaane ka time hogaya"

Princessse said...

heeeheeehaaahaaaahaaaa

okay - now THAT's freaky!! ...

After reading this post and the comments to it, I thought about DCH and all along I'm thinking to myself this evening, okay MY favourite scene in the movie was the 'shayad uske bathroom jaane ka time hogaya hai' ...

I come here to post that as a comment and lo and behold !! There it is :)

Sayesha said...

Not to forget this brilliant one!

Akash's Dad - Kuch apni zindagi ke baare mein socha hai?
Akash - Nahin.

Aamir's expression as he said 'Nahin' was priceless! :D

And oh, I also love Saif's "Ya toh dosti gehri hai, ya yeh tasveer 3-D hai." Hahahaha!

Oh man, I gotta watch it again!

Sahil said...

If I say there is one drawback to the movie its the whole Dimple and Akshay interactions. I've watched the movie about 20 times by now, but I always skip all those scenes.

Too slow for me. And I think I have a thing against Akshaye.

"Hum to cake khaane ke liye kahin bhi ja sakte hain"

hahahahahaha!

btw - what was this blog post about? :P

Sayesha said...

I think we have graduated beyond freaky now. Last night, before going to bed, I was thinking, "Arre I forgot the cake wala dialogue, will post it in the morn." And there you are!

Geez, Virdi posts one X-rated comment and my post completely changes focus! Virdi ki jai ho! :)

New job + no apartment + no computer means that I haven't been coming here as regularly as I used to... worry not, Anil will not desert you! Not after laughing my balls out on reading the comments on this post! I need to watch the movie again!!!!

Sayesha said...

I totally agree, Weird Hair Anil! I have read this series of comments like a million times over and I'm still cackling away! The comments have overpowered the original post! :D

DCH has taken over the world!
